Established in 2011, Visiting Scholars is an outreach program where UA undergraduates visit science classes at Tucson area high schools. There, they engage students with current research in the biological sciences as well as share their college experience.
UA Biochemistry Club holds an annual summer science camp for Middle School students. The camp is structured as an intensive day camp: “cadets” will come to the University of Arizona for one week in June and participate in structured activities led by qualified university students and staff. These activities have been specifically designed to challenge students in scientific inquiry and understanding, while also being fun and mentally engaging.
